Dream Catcher (Story 1)

Christopher worked hard.  He delivered his papers rain or snow, sunny or overcast.  He was dedicated and motivated to earn the money he so desperately believed he needed.
A particularly bad day of thunder storms drove Christopher to run for cover into an abandoned old mildew infested home.  Once inside he found only a monocle.  Once he placed it to his eye the world changed.  As if transported through time the house was no longer in disrepair.  In fact, there was a collection of odd antiques and shiny trinkets.
But an odd aquarium full of spinning orbs caught his attention.  What was inside these curious spheres bewildered Christopher.  He was peering into captured snow globe sized versions of his own dreams.  His ambitions and his fears seized in time within them.  Nothing made sense anymore.  But when he caught a glimpse of himself in the reflection his heart stopped.

For a young man and a lonely old teacher named Doris, it is the strangest set of circumstances mankind has ever seen.
A dream becomes etched onto the back of hundreds of gold coins that seem to endlessly flow from the bottom of her antique hope chest.  How did they get there?
That is noting compared to how they were found!
